Local grocer had fresh 9-12 count white shrimp on sale...had to buy some....I had a hankering for boiled shrimp. Got the boil rig loaded up, headed to my Aunt's house to boil. Pics. later....stay tuned!!

Always jealous of your fresh shrimp. I picked up a 2Lb bag of frozen jumbos yesterday. I just checked the bag - - - Farmed in Indonesia. Haha! WTF!

Keith, those are nice shrimp and you know we love a boil around here, looks GREAT! Our recreational shrimping season just kicked off yesterday and I've heard they are plentiful this year so soon time to restock the freezer and make it again...

Thats a fantastic money shot!! I love getting together with family for meals like this. Everyone leaves happy.
And with the heads on, now that's fresh. So, what is the general opinion / perspective between boiling and steaming?
When I steam I use a basket insert and basically the same seasonings just not as much liquid. The lemons, corn and sausage goes in first, then potatoes, and finally the shrimp... and I kill the heat after a minute or two and do a small dump of seasoning.
