Good mornin and welcome to the forum, from a cool and rainy looking day in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

My phone decided to post before I finished writing my thread. My currently don't have a smoker. I have a propane grill that I tried once to use as a smoker. I am hoping to purchase a smoker sometime in the future. I am new to smoking meat and have received the 5 day course and am reading it as these few days go by. I want to start with ribs as that is what I've read is easiest? Not sure if that is accurate. Right now I'm using the search thread feature to find answers to my questions. If I have any questions that I cannot find answers to, I'll be sure to ask.

Welcome from SC, Jaime. I know you will enjoy this site and all of the folks who are eager to share their ideas and tips. You have made a good start by reading the 5 day course. As far as the ribs are concerned, IMHO the ribs are third. I think chicken is the easiest and the cheapest. Second would be a pork butt and the ribs are third. Remember, you can always eat your mistakes. Good luck and good smokin', Joe.
