Not too long ago, there was some discussion here on the SMF regarding reports that the spring that Jack Daniels uses to make their whiskey was drying up and there were no plans to move the distillery. Well to all the brothers (and sisters) who were going into shock, relax. I visited the distillery yesterday in Lynchburg, Tn. My wife and I were passing by on our way to somewhere else so we dropped in for a tour. I'm glad to report that all is well at the distillery. I walked right up to the spring and it's doing fine. Our tour guide said the folks at Jack Daniels had also heard the rumor and it had been one of the best sales promotions they could have asked for. He said since the rumor, their sales had "mushroomed." So all you JD drinkers can relax, quit stock piling the JD and calm your nerves. The spring is alive and well.

Now what in the heck am I going to do with the 25 cases I bought?

Now I cant be the only one thinking of this.....but I got a lot of ideas of what I could do with them if ya sent them to central New York!

my husband will be relieved, actually heard that the spring was fine also...Did you see the private squires room down there in Lynchburg? My husband was recently accepted as a Tennesse Squire.

Maybe this is how the rumor died! They self medicated with their stock piles, and calmed themselves down ...........
