Hey everyone. Chad in ontario canada here. Some what new to the art of smoking meat. I have a vertical water smoker my kids bought for me for fathers day 2 years ago...best gift ever! Now im looking to adventure into a bigger smoker and take it a bit more serious. I have some success with ribs, roasts, hamburgers and hot dogs but need to start moving into some more exciting categories of meat. Im excited for this summer as ive kinda hooked my cousin on smoking and he is starting to buy the tools and try his own things and now is starting to challenge me to smoke offs at family bbq's. This may have to be the year I make him put his smoker where his brisket is!!!! So far I have read lots of awesome posts with a wealth of invaluable info and seen some amazing and inspiring photos. Cant wait to see more posts. Chad.

Hello Chad and Welcome to our addiction.  A word of warning: There is no 12 step program for this one!  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have, and pictures help a bunch.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  Check out Jeff’s 5 day smoking E-Course ( link below ) that will help you get started.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!
