I buddy called this weekend and informed me Kohls had remote probes for $20. The cheapest I've found was $25 and the most exspensive $39.99. So I decided to run down there and get one. It takes 4 aaa batteries. I new we had some just wasn't sure on how many, so I didn't buy any. Got home ran to the drawer and there they were all three of them figures

. So the next time were at the store we'll pick some up. Today I had to go to walmart and would be a good time for the batteries. It's a habit of mine to always go through the sporting goods dept and bbq dept whether I need something or not. Just like to browes see if theres anything new or catches my eye. Well I notice they had 12 great outdoor smokers. They were the smaller ones with no bottom vents. They wanted $138 bucks. Anyhow kept snooping around and i seen they had remote probes for 14.95

. Where were they a week ago

I feel your pain...I bought a digital stationary probe at Lowes last week for $20, then sunday I was in Walmart as well and saw those same wireless probes for same price...didnt have a credit card or check book on me or I'd have 2 right now...looks like another trip to wallyworld and I'll check my battery drawer before I go...lol

I hear ya on the battery thing. 3 pc's with cordless keyboards and mice, 4 WII controllers, tv remote, satelite remote, digital camera's not to mention the kids toys all on AA batteries. Maybe I should buy into Duracel.

I don't know if this is true or not, but a bud showed me an e-mail he recieved about the AA batteries. It showed a 6 volt lantern battery that you remove the top case off of, and inside is a bunch of AA batteries inside. It's probably crap but who knows.

I have a NU-Temp with 3 remote wireless set-up. Paid like $80 for it and have been happy ever since. Went thru a lot of less priced ones wish i had done this earlier. Have had 3 years now and no troubles other then I damaged a lead which I am sure a lot of us have. Now for batteries ouch use a total of 16 batteries. In the 3 years I have had it has never let me down.
