OK, got my new ET-73 and I thought I figured out how to get them to sync. Well, now that I'm starting a smoke will not sync, I have tried every thing. Can someone give me a hand....Many thanks, Fritz

Thanks Mark, I tried that and it still doesent work. Maybe I need to change the batteries?

I am getting a bad vibe on the quality of these ET 73's. I haven't used mine yet but will today. Hope it performs. Are there any other dual probe thermometers out there of a better quality?

Only problem I have with mine is that sometimes it wont transmit through my old plaster walls. Sometimes it does. so if temp hasnt changed for a while I have to carry it outside so it can receive a signal.

My Et 73 has performed very good.... the little tiny on off switches are a pain... takin the back off the one to turn on really stinks but other than that mine has been good!

got two other single probe remotes... one Smokeys my pet got me ...talks....

and got a cheapo single probe-not remote.... they have all done really good so far....

Hope this helps, but I turn the transmitter on first then the receiver w/in 2 sec. after. Hold the rec w/in 6" of trans. and wait for the beep.

Hope ya get it figured out, hate it when things like that go wrong.....I end up drink'n even more.

Im sooo sorry to hear about your ET-73. That is unusual. Most of the threads i have read give it a very good review, and i give them a great review as well... I usually turn on the probe part, then turn on the receiver part within 5 seconds later and get great accurate readings.... If this isnt the case for you, I would hate to say you got a thermometer that malfunctions, but maybe you did?!?! Keep playing with it, they can be a bit tricky at first.

That's it!!! My wireless lap top was messing it up. Many Thanks for all of your help!! Fritz

you're all gravy now... the mavericks are great thermometers.... not your que'in... I like to say things like this because I have been in the same position. I am by no means a veteran at this past time, but I always enjoyed all the positive influence I could get and I imagined you would too.

another satisfied cutomer, way to go guys. One less fatality to read about in the paper!

I've had mine for over a year and have had no problems at all. Hell, I'm still using the original batteries. I usually turn on the receiver first, then the transmitter within 3-4 seconds. I've never had a problem.
