Hi, Everyone!

First of all happy birthday to everyone I missed, congrats to all the successful applicants to the OTBS and happy to be here..literally!

After I had a particularly long and drawn out winter my computer started showing signs of old age. Well everything came to a screeching halt.

A new CD/DVD/ drive and a new hard drive later (like a heart/lung transplant) I am operating at a minimal capacity. Hope to upgrade and improve before long.

My time has also been taken up with improvements to my little cabin in the woods. It will not be so little anymore. And for good reason.

In October I will be joined by a long time old time gal pal from before my high school daze, uh days. We were reunited about five years ago by an odd fluke of the Universe and over time realized we had the same ambitions and goals for our better years. And who can fight the things that were meant to be? Christine will be here in October and I certainly hope I have the mods to the Montgomery Manse completed for her arrival. So much for free time!

But the smoke will roll! I have just put 18lbs of pork loin in Hi Mountain Buckboard cure. On Wednesday next I will do two runs of sausage; sage and "warm" Italian which will be rolled into fatties and frozen. Sunday next will be a day of the Thin Blue as I get back into the swing of things.

So, between banging nails and keeping the smoke rolling I will get on as much as possible and hopefully only have to deal with the occasional spammer.

Ain't life grand?

Cheers!

Thanks, Ken!

I usually disappear fro a couple of months in the winter due to my occupation then pick up again in early spring. Just that this year's return is a lot later for the reasons outlined above.

And I, too, am happy to see some of the "older" members showing up. Gives a good feeling!

Cheers!

congrats monty on your upcoming "Parnter" moving in.......you deserve it........isn't funny how the universe DOES werk in these matters..........if anyone deserves it you do................

Thanks, WD!

There's a lot more to the story but that will wait till a later time! I truly appreciate your good wishes. And I pray that all is well with you and yours!

Hopefully I will have some good Q View for next weekend!

Cheers!

Congratulations, you sound like a happy man. Glad to hear from you Monty.

Thanks, Rich!

If I was any happier I couldn't stand it. Improving the digs, computer is alive again and a great friend headed my way.

And I am planning a big smoke for next weekend!

Thanks for the nice words!

BTW We have known each other for well over forty years.

Cheers!

I hear a bounce in your step Monty-and that's gotta be a great thing in ones life, congrats to you and your long lost other.

Welcome back Monty. Glad the planets and stars are coming into line for you and a companion to boot. You da man Sir Monty! Good luck with all the improvements and upgrades.

Keep smokin buster!

Thanks, DL!

I think I will reply with the words of the forward scout for Lewis and Clarke. When asked if he was ever lost he replied, "Well, no. Never been lost. Been a mite confused for a month or so. But never been lost."

And for us it is like we were a mite confused for a few decades but we were bound to find our way.

Thanks,
and
Cheers!

Sumosmoke, I never really "left". I am employed by the Sate of Vermont as a road maintenance type dude. When it is snowing, and worse yet, icing up, and everyone else is home I am out making the roads safe and protecting the motoring public from itself. The hours are long and I am on 24/7 call, no exceptions. Hence, not much time to do what I do here. I do occasionally spot an email warning on a reported post and jump in to disintegrate the offender. But for smoking and spending time on the site with all my friends it is just about impossible. And now with my most recent happenings...Yeesh!

Tip, I am hanging in there for what I know will be good for both of us!

Cheers, Guys!

Thanks, Patty!

Been a struggle. Between the weather, the puter gasping for breath and all. Happy to be here and , I think, functional.

BTW, my friend, Christine, is the Eastern version of a Cowgirl. She qualifies as a Tomboy! What luck!

More later, my friends!

Cheers!

Thanks for the good wishes, Kookie!

And, Patty... I let her go her way over thirty years ago. Ain't gonna happen again!

More later!
Thanks
and
Cheers!
