WOW that was a wild day, it had had rained most of monday night and most all day tues.
tues morning limbs were just starting to break off but by the peak of the day limbs were falling around town every 30 sec, even small branches made a loud sound from the build up of ice on them.

befor shot of a tree in the back yard

after shot of it

looking out the picture window in the house

more to come as i get them up loaded

Man, I hope no serious damage happened to you... that's some nasty sh*t!

It's quite a storm. I hope you still have power. My son lives close to Jeff in eastern OK and the power has been out in the whole town since Sunday.

My supervisor is in a small town north west of Topeka and they said that they would have power on December 22nd! I can't imagine going 24 hours let alone 10 days without power!

we lost power around 9 am tues and ogt it back last night around 8:30.
your right living without power is different, flashlights and candles, i guess my dad was having a bowl of cereal and spooned the sugar right onto the counter top missing the bowl.

got some close ups, the tips of the limbs were an inch in dia.

and add to chrish's post.........

today the sun came out........and ALL that ice started falling off the trees.......crashing EVERYwhere......i KNOW some vehicles got some dings from it........

hope you folks in ok. get your power back soon........i knows its been more of a b*tch for you guys

Crazy storm. I'll stick with our snow up here. My brother just moved to the Tulsa OK area this last weekend and they are tell him that they won't have power till the first of the year. That would suck. Hope no one got hurt or gets hurt.

Later.

After seeing all of this I think I will stick to hurricanes. Glad everyone is staying safe and I hope warm also.

the ice is melting off and crashing down today, even had 3 more limbs down in the back yard but heres the same tree thats in the 2nd pic in my first post

there wast any major damage when we drove around town tues, did see a flattened blazer tho. downed power lines some really smart kids playing under trees while the limbs fell down around them

the big danger now are the big ones left hanging in the trees.

Those are some awesome pics. I hope all is well for everyone affected. Its gonna be tough for awhile for alot of folks. Stuff like this brings people together, and builds bonds between neighbors who would normally keep to themselves.

thats true for shure, i've got my mess cleaned up and now helping others around me to clean up there yards.

Good pictures Chrish!

Most of the ice around my house melted yesterday....now I'm getting freezing rain mixed with snow.
I like the snow much better than ice.

The ice is mostly gone around Topeka but now a storm with up to 9 inches of snow is on the way.

You know, screw a white Christmas! I am thinking a 60 degree Christmas would suit me just fine!
