Not sure, but I just had to post this somewhere. We are finally pulling the trigger and buying a house. Now, I'm a deck fanatic and I love entertaining groups. Every house we have looked at has become an exercise in deck planning for me. Then we saw this house....A little reinforcing, clean/stain/seal, all said and done about $1000 and it will be gorgeous.

That's some amazing art work on the brick as well as the side building. The brickwork has a lot of SouthWestern in it, but not sure how the giraffes fit into the whole thing. They are separate ornaments, right?

That's a real nice big side building- is it a shop or garage or both? Nice space no matter which.

Once you get that deck done like you said it'll be just right for the weekend barbecue and smoke! Congratulations on your new house, it's a great feeling isn't it!

The outbuilding is big enough for an rv and 2 cars. The previous owner did use it as a shop. He even had an old school engine analyzer in there. The breezeway between the house and the shop has massive cabinet space and plenty of room for my chest freezer. I think I'm moving to BBQ heaven. And yes, the giraffes are removeable. That really made me wonder too.

falmund, I moved this thread from Catering and Large Group Gathering to General Discussion so you'll get more exposure.

Nice layout of the deck and patio area. That outbuilding would make one heck of a "man cave"!!

Congratulations on the new place. You will have some great entertaining space, and what a sweet garage / shop. Nothing like owning your own place with a killer deck and some thin blue floating by with a beer in hand...it's all good!

Do you know what the theme of the brick work was? That one section looks like a road?

I do love that deck. Fill it up and let the smoking begin!

Congrats on you new house. You'll have time to shape it into whatever floats your boat. Very nice investment. It's all good my friend.
