They do not chop in a food processor, they do not really smash (do not have a morter and pedistal), the do not go thru a pepper grinder.....How do I use them w/ my pastrami spices??????

Double up 1 gal. freezer bags and use 20oz framing hammer....not sure if it is the right consistance or if you will want to bite on but the broken up and smell like juniper......will do add something. last one i made i did not use them and people do said I need to so I will post if there is a difference.

Put them puppies in a bag and run over em with a 1 ton dually a few times! Should be about right.

Wonder if a blender might crack em up a bit?

I probably should have maserated (soak em in booze) them first and then smashed them

Give yourself the booze and the berries will not be as important.

I have just added mine whole to brines and not smashed them.

The other option would be to get something like cheese cloth place the berries in them then place that in a plastic bag use a big hammer and get angry at it

If you have a burning desire to use duct tape then tape the outside of the plastic bag because there is a good chance that it will split

what is the best way. soak em and the smash (puree) or grind them. I think soaking would be better than the smashing i did this time
