Very nice! In order to catch a bass like that here you'd have to drill a hole in the ice first!

CR, An insulated pop-up with a Buddy heater would do the trick ! :)Never been ice-fishing, but would love to go.
Just need a heated shack and stool.
No beer cooler required
Actually there are times you want the beer cooler, mostly to keep the beer from freezing. took my product rep from Texas ice fishing once and he had a good time and got a better understanding of certain common things that become challenges at 0 degrees. Like timing when you got to pee because you have to plan for getting through 3 layersNo beer cooler required
Got my PB through the ice last winter, it's at the taxidermist and of course I didn't weight or measure it. I was more concerned at getting it wrapped to freeze nicely. Made for some good excitement with a 44" ultralight, 3lb line, and small tungsten jig and she filled up the 7.5in hole once I could finally turn it's head.Very nice! Sacré bleu! That's a lot of Sac-a-lait.There was a time in my life when I got to fish for crappie A LOT! Times change and not many opportunities to do that much anymore. But, this past week a good friend called and asked if I'd like to go. He's proficient with LiveScope and said he's been catching the heck out of them. Of course I jumped at the chance. Kept 26 with quite a few in the 1¾-2 lb. range with the biggest being 2.2 lbs. and not sure how many we threw back. Fish were caught on very small brush tops 22' deep along a river channel using 1/32 oz. jigs...
