Returning from HEB a while ago.  Switched on the AM, got 'Cigar Dave' doing a show about bourbon.

He mentioned that TODAY is International Bacon Day.

How could this happen and I not be aware of it.  An important event like this should be marked on our calendars.  Parades should be held.  Cooking out the ying-yang.  Pig flags from every pole.  My goodness, the list goes on and on..........

Apparently there was a bacon festival here in Kansas City last week. I wish some one would have told me.
