How can I connect these: firebox to smoke chamber

I have hit a roadblock in my build. I cannot figure out how I will connect these two pieces. Anybody have ideas or experiences to pass on?

I personally have no idea, but a lot of the builders will look at this and tell you, I am sure!

If you can get some angle iron or cut some flat sheet to fit in like this maybe it will be easy to weld up.

I would sq up the smoke chamber and the fit the firebox up to it then.
