No my daughter did not sart it . We had a electric heater in the ceiling of the bathroom that shoorted out and caugh0e the carpet and towels on fire . I ended up in ER with a bleeding ulcer ( stress ) ..very tired and am leaving work shortly to go home . Pray for my daughter as she is very UPSET .......

Well I'm very sorry for your house but I'm more glad that your daughter wasn't hurt (the main thing) maybe alittle shook up but OK. I'm sure she will be alright I'm sure it scared the beJesus out of her. But I hopw you will be alright with that ulcer I've had one and you can take a pill for it theses days. So go buy your daughter some marshmellows and tell her to use them next time. JK

Dang, that would be scary for anybody!! Prayers up for the daughter for peace of mind and prayers for you for quick recovery. Ma used to have ulcer problems (and no, they weren't caused by me). Once she changed to a less stressful job, her ulcer problem got better.

Glad to hear nobody was hurt and I hope the damage wasn't too bad. Tell the daughter while things are getting fixed and back to normal you may need her to assist with the smoking duties so you can hang out with her more and pass on the art of the TBS. As for the ulcers Stress sucks and will affect you in many ways I hope you find a better way to deal with it so your health doesn't suffer as it is now.

If it was faulty wiring maybe you could show the physical evidence to her and explain that it was nobody's fault especially not hers.

Perhaps you could lay the blame on some long gone anonymous electrician if you have to, anything to deflect the guilt away from her.

If there isn't one there already install a smoke detector near the problem area and show her that its there to protect you in the future.

My daughter understands what casued the fire and is good with it . Me I now have a pinched nerve in my left shoulder IE neck area that will get treatment Saturday . The ulcer is being treated as I type and for now the bleeding has slowed but not stopped . Thanks for the prayers and concerns . The home received 11K in damage and they are working on it now.

My house is back in place Thanks to a quick ins company . My daughter is settled back down and we have new smoke alarms in place . My shoulder is gettin better and I threw away all pain meds and am now just dealing with it ( the pain ) . The stomach is settling down and maybe in six weeks I can eat my own Q again . The bleeding has stopped .

Missed this, glad to hear things didn't get out of hand and are returning to normal! Have lived through 2 minor house fires myself and know how much of a P.I.T.A. they can be!

Mrs SOB just told me about this thread and was concerned by it.
I am confused about this rating thing I didn't realize that threads could be rated by anyone, I thought that was an administrative thing.
