Hot Rods?(for the canadians)

heres a question.. anybody made a snack sausage that is similar to a Hot Rod...

i have tried Slim Jims and similar ones in the USA but they are just not the same

Hi Teacup13.
I have a buddy who has them made up for him using Venison but the recipe is a secret.
The butcher that makes them for him won't reveal the process or any other info.
I am still trying to get that info though because they are the best tasting Hot Rods I have ever eaten.
I even offered to help process but nnooooo, they wouldn't let me in the shop!!!!!!!

I may have to kidnap his lawn nomes or something
