I have heard that food saver brand has sold out to some chinese company. They started making them really cheap and not worth the money. Now the brand that you have there is supposed to be the next up an coming units. They seem to be at a good price for now but E-bay always goes crazy at the end of the auction.

Actually these are the ones that started it all. These units are older in design, but very reliable and can be kept running without having to throw it away, cause these units can be repaired either at home, or by sending it in to P.M.G. http://www.vacuumpacker.com/index.ph...e/cat_id/34714
These were made to pump water through the sealer without damageing the pump. Folks don't try that with your Foodsaver! Well maybe once, than throw it away, because Foodsaver won't repair them anymore.
