I just brought a mes30 from a local hardware store. I smoke a pork butt a few weeks ago and could not get smoke going. I kept the temp at around 225 and nothing and my chips were black so i did a little thinking and throught it need more air so I drilled two hold on btm of smoker and used a disposable alum pan for chips thinking it need more air and I tried it tonight with no meat and the temp at 225. I got really good tbs for the first half hour then nothing. What am I doing wrong please help
