Hi All,
This is my first time joining a group but I love to smoke meats and process wild life for the freezer.
We raise our own cattle so we smoke a lot of beef and process a lot of wild pork and venison and it seems each time I learn something new about cooking. Mainly that I can alway use more practice!
I am also planning to build a pellet driven smokehouse, probably around 8’x8’, and will be looking for information on how to design, build and use one for smoking meats. If anyone has any advice, previously built one or have plans for one I’d sure be interested!
Looking forward to joining this group!
Thank you

Welcome from Kentucky!

I know some have done pellet fired smokehouses, so I will defer to them on any questions you have about that.

Hey, and welcome! I'm from East Texas.
I hope you get some conversations rolling about your future smokehouse project. I've got one myself that I'd love to convert to pellet. As for learning each time you make a batch of something - that tells us you're good at what you do. There's always room for improvement and growth.

Thanks for the encouragement. I think adding a smokehouse to the mix will be really be a great learning experience and probably make all my other cooking better.

Thank you Doug. Yes, I could use a few pointers from anyone that has experience designing or building one on how to get started with the project.
