Thanks for allowing me to join your group. Have had my master built electric smoker since Christmas 2012 and think its completely replaced the gas grill! I live in wyoming and smoke year round. Smoked fresh trout, beef rump roast, pork of various cuts, chicken all kinds, turkeys, and various snacks.

Yummmm. Its almost Easter. Peeps will abound on store shelves everywhere. Always liked stale Peeps the best. I'll have to try cold smoking some Peeps. The Yellow ones, of course with, with some cherry smoke. Oh yeah!

Smoked fresh trout? Oh, you are killing me. I love trout. If you want to make an old fat Canadian happy, please do a post with pictures of you smoking your trout.

Disco the first time I coated the fish with dried mustard. The fish were a 3 1\2lb cut throat, a 2 lb rainbow and a small walleye. No pics of the smoked finish but was fast about 45 min and I used a combination of cherry and Jack Daniel's oak wisky barrel. Was delishious! Do have pic of the fish before hand!

Well, next time you smoke them, you will get lots of attention (particularly from me) if you snap a couple of pics and post them! In the meantime, I look forward to your other posts.

Sounds like you had nice sized fish for the last smoke and I bet they were delicious!

Disco,
Here's their fish before no after pics but trust me they were good! So good in fact I eat them ! Usually I let them go as dont care for fish!
Fine looking fish! However, don't care for fish? There is nothing finer than a good well prepared trout IMHO. Smoked is over the moon!

Thanks for the picture.
