hi am peter, i live over at the original Birmingham in the UK. mid fourties and know nothing about bbq and smoking food, all i do know is that i hate my badly chared burnt offerings we blokes seem to do.

so i plan to make a small smoker, trash bin size

or even a 50 gallon barrel combination, but none of your 200 gallon tanker jobbies on wheels, my garden is to small!!

i will mainly do hot smoking but once or twice a year when a certain fish is close by but to preserve them i will cold smoke.

I like the idea of making my own bangers too (sausages)

starting with the basics first and then on towards the more complex ones

I wont be making lots of posts as i will spend most of my time seaching and reading the old ones for a while
