yeah, the site doesn't see them in the folder till I convert them to JPEGsI don't know much about iPhones or HEIC files, that would be a question for bmudd14474 .
Have you tried to load one into a thread?
I appreciate your time Brian. Many thanks!Ill have to see if I can get it to display properly
When I clicked on it then it instantly downloaded to my phone.

not sure about that, live photo is off and they are all HEIC files. not a fan of the live photo...The iPhone defaults to the 'live' HEIC format, but you can turn it off (and revert to .jpg) by toggling the vaguely bullseye-looking icon in the upper right of the camera screen. Unfortunately, it won't convert those photos already taken.
I do like my iPhone, but Apple seems to make things too exclusionary sometimes. that explains why i have the same problem with eBay. ugh! When we click on the attachment it will download to the device and can be opened.
The issue is that as of Aug 2024 Safari is the only browser that supports HEIC and will display them. So that is the bigger issue.
Sorry
sandyut My workaround for the apple HEIC mess is to email the pictures from my iPhone to my Yahoo email account. Yahoo will automatically convert HEIC files to jpg.Can HEIC files be added as acceptable photos to add to a thread? iPhone makes all pics this file type now and I have to convert them to JPEG.
Many thanks!
Ill see if my email does the same. thanks!sandyut My workaround for the apple HEIC mess is to email the pictures from my iPhone to my Yahoo email account. Yahoo will automatically convert HEIC files to jpg.
It's still an extra step but it is way easier than opening each file and converting to jpeg.
