I love Wendy's chili.

Just saw they sell it in a can at Walmart.

I saw that at one of our local grocery stores....Almost got a can to try. Looking online.....Its gotten pretty good reviews. Your gonna be my test rat. Let us know what you think.

Do check the price first. I saw it at my local store, and there was no price listed on the shelf. I remember thinking, "It's just chili. How much could it possibly be?" So I grabbed 2.
Yeah, I looked at the receipt when I got home. Those 2 cans cost me $10. :emoji_astonished:
Would've been cheaper to just go to the Wendy's down the street.

Over $4 a can at Wally World. I did buy a can, and tried it. When I was a kid, Dad and I would go to Wendy's for a burger and Chili. We still do the same from time to time. I swear the chili from the restuarant was better than the can I bought. Going to need to hit the drive through and order some chili and compare. Still, over $4 is a little steep for this dude.

$4.99 at the Kroger here. I'll buy a can to compare to the fresh stuff from the Wendys on the corner. 6GRILLZNTN 6GRILLZNTN I'd fit right in with you and dad. Thats my go to when I go to Wendys.

I used to have a recipe for Wendy's chilli, it was from one of those websites that claim to have all the recipes from thenbig chains. Most were not even close, but the Wendy's chili recipe seemed spot on.

I will have to see if I can dig it up, its been a long time since I saw it.

You're not nuts. I got info from a franchise owner. The locals here take the burgers that fall apart and add to the chili.

I have the book and you're right, it's pretty spot on but have even perfected it. We make like 2-3x month.

I scaled ours down but basics are take half the GB and make burger patties with it. Season well with SP and sear HARD. Brown rest of GB and deglaze with your water. Chop burgers and add. Also add a bit of Accent/msg. As good or better IMO.

Tried it for lunch.

Microwave at work.

Seemed a little thicker than in the restaurant, the beans a little softer.

Tasted very close though.

I give it 8/10.

I found it better than Hormel, Wolf....

Just my opinion.

My Kroger was out last night. I'll have to check next time. You review was pretty close to what was said online also.

Well I finally got to try it. Like others have said, its thicker than the restaurant ones and the beans are softer. The taste is good. Would I pick it over the fresh? No. But for a canned Chili its ok. Better than others out there.
