Picked up a couple Tri Tips from Costco yesterday on the way home from work. Decided to season them up with some Mad Hunky, Garlic Salt, and Pepper, sear them, rest, slice up, and throw in a skillet to finish off. Made some Lawry's Au Jus and added the foiled juice to it. 2 pieces of provolone on each sandwich. Turned out fantastic! For the next one, I'll have a little more time to put some smoke on one.

OMG that is just mouth watering! There's something about meat and provolone that just gets me going! I recently got ahold of some of the Mad Hunky, but haven't tried it yet. Hope to soon on some chicken breasts.

Thats Perfect....I'll take two plates. I agree tri-tip makes a great beef dip. I served many of them back about 1978.

Dont let people tell you that BEAR!!!   Just because its not well known to the right side of the mississippi doesn't mean its not available!

i carry it in OHIO and am educating as many people that will listen on how great the Tri Tips are!

Just be persistant! Consider offering to buy half the case ( if Possible) to get your meat man to get some in for you.

I hear a lot of this. I wonder why it would be a regional thing?

Great looking sammie for sure. Tritip sammies are the best If you have not tried it yet there is a product (picture below) that makes the best dipping au jus and is really inexpensive.

I usually add a pan with some beef broth and some onions below the tri tip and add some Jonnies to it.
