Hi everybody! My name is Tom. I live in the wonderful city of Mishawaka. By evening, I am a machinist, and my spare time, I am a foodie. Especially a smoking foodie......well trying to be lol. I own a masterbuilt electric smoker. (Yes all you purists, let me hear you. BOOOOOOOO lol) But seriously, I am happy I stumbled on to this site and wanting to get elbows deep in some barbecue. So I am sure I will be learning off of everyone and I hope to teach and give my knowledge too!

Welcome aboard Tom! I'm west of you over in Michigan City. I to am a machinist by day.nothing wrong with the Masterbuilt. Great smoker I have one myself..lot of great info and help here.look forward to seeing some of yoursmokes.

Hi Tom and welcome to the SMF family!  You've found a great, friendly place to learn and share ideas on all things smoked.  As Ikrus already said...nothing wrong with that MES.  I used to cook on one too and like it a lot.  There are many, many MES users here, so there is a clearinghouse of info for you to explore.

Have fun and Happy Smoking!
