Hi All,

I'm Georgepat, 59 and have been smoking meat and home made sausages for a long time.

Since the smoke coming from someone else's smoker always smells better than your own, I decided to join this gathering of like minded souls where I could learn new and better ways of smoking.

I have several types of smokers that I use for my sausages including a homemade smoker that I made. I have two upright 20# smokers from the Sausage Maker, a couple of Brinkmans and my newest toy is a CharGriller Super Pro with the offset firebox. This smoker rocks!

I've done a few butts and pork ribs in it and I think I'm in love.

I use lump charcoal and wood such as, hickory, locust, dogwood etc and have had good results with them all.

Looking forward to reading your posts and learning from you all.

Hello again Georgepat, thanks for your intro. If you've looked around the board here, you've probably found our Sauage Forum. We had so many requests for a sausage section, tulsajeff added it to the board. It's neat to see all the variations that folks have of different sausages. We have a great group here that's willing to share tips, tricks and recipes and their knowledge of the Smoking Arts.

Oh yeah, if you have a handle on digital photography, we love to see pictures of smoking toys and the food that they produce. :D
