Hello,

New to smoking and excited I found this forum.  I live in the Rocket City (Huntsville).  Love food.  Hehe...what else can I say.  Hope to be smoking soon.

to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us! Thank you for joined the Alabama Members group too!

We love to see pictures of what you are cooking (or what we call q-views here at SMF).  To "upload the q-views" just follow the directions here and it will be easier. If you are using a cell phone, an IPad or a kindle, go to the main SMF page and click the Mobile button. Will make the uploads a bit faster too.

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do.  There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums and some guidelines of how to interact within the forums. Off site links are not allowed here at SMF per TulsaJeff. Not that you have done anything wrong....just a little bit of FYI for new members!

If you need any help roaming around the forums....just holler!  Happy to help out!

Welcome from Canada.

I just started smoking a year ago an this forum has helped me so much. Whenever I want to research a project, I get great information from the search function. When I post a project, I get great advice. The members are nice folks and are very generous with their experience and knowledge.

Again, welcome aboard.  What kind of pit are you running?
I'm a newbie and small timer so I've got nothing to rave about, but I recently bought a Char-Griller grill and MES 30.  See where these take me starting out :D.

Yep met the folks over in the Bama group...hit me with a revelation of the most awesome BBQ event I've ever heard of happening only 1hr away.  "The Jack"  Unfortunately my wife's due date and arrival of our 2nd baby is around the same time. :(.

I'm kind ' a guessing which event you will attend,  Maybe get someone to send you pictures of #2 while you are at the BBQ event.  Good luck

Gary

Hahaha,

Is The Jack year round???  Because I probably wouldn't be able to come home if I pulled a stunt like that.  LOL.

Welcome P! We're happy to have you here. There's a great deal of knowledge shared on this forum, and we look forward to your input as well.

She's here!  We've been sleeping a lot and slowing getting back into the swing of things. I'll try to post of pictures tomorrow.
