So we had a family reunion (so to speak) This past Saturday... Grandson and Wife brought his family (2 boys, 1 girl) down from Tn. for a 4 day weekend.. So Sat. we had a cookout for the occasion... Family and friends showed up...
Our other Grandson held the cookout at his place... He has 5 acres in the country (if there is a such a thing in Fl.)...
Did some Ribs (5 slabs) and Chicken... Chicken I got at GFS.. 40lb box of Jumbo Quarters (leg/thigh) for $28 ... They come double bagged with the inner bag heat sealed... I cut the seal off and poured 2 Gal. of brine in and put the heavy duty case in the fridge... About every 6 hours I would reach in the bags and turn them over (mix them up) for a total of a 24 hr brine ..
Ribs went on at 11 AM along with a batch (30, as there is 15 slices(cut in half) of bacon in a pack) of ABT's... ABT's came off about 1 and chicken went on...
This is where I'm gonna catch hell... Was to crazy at serving time to get more pics...
So the kids enjoyed the day on golf carts, electric 4 wheeler, bikes, Pool, ETC.

Then got almost everybody together for a pic...
So after everybody left, 4 of us remained... 2 grandson's, Their Uncle and I... Kept a quart of Blackberry Shine for the occasion... and the 4 of us commenced to... Well... You know... I know it was WAY late before we got to bed...
