First time smoke in the snow!

Wind is a bigger killer than snow. Depending on your smoker you may burn more fuel to maintain temps. But since we don't know what kind of smoker you're using that's just a guess.
 
I should have included that, sorry. In using the BES. It's the snooker I started with and hope to upgrade next year. It gets the job done, and since it's electric hopefully that will keep it steady.
 
when i started my new year's turkey it was 6 degrees. 5 hours later it was done.

the smoker didn't want to start but once i whacked it n it did, everything went normally.,

Do you mean MES? Anyway as long as you can control the temp the pig doesn't know it is snowing.Keep the door closed and kick back and enjoy the ride. Remember it is done when it is done.

I think I'm confusing my acronyms. :) I have the Brinkmann electric smoker, the big red one. Seems to still be going fine so far, I'd take pics but don't dare open it today.
