Just an informal poll. What is your favorite wood for a pork shoulder?
Oak, maybe with a little cherry or apple mixed in.
i use pecan on EVEERYTHING. sometimes i add some apple or apricot, but not often.
Hickory w/some oak.
Hickory and apple or cherry mix for me.
Hickory, Cherry, Oak, or Pecan or a mix of a couple of them
Hickory with a bit of apple, cherry.
Pecan all the way for me
Hickory, with Apple or Pecan
oak, apple, pecan...........
oak, apple, maple
Hickory and Cherry mix.
I'll be simple:
hickory w/ cherry or apple.
Toss up for me between heavy hickory or pecan,,, If I had to choose between the two I would go pecan
Apple sometimes with a bit of Cherry
Hickory with Apple
I use cherry - followed by cherry - then finish with cherry
