Eastern Regional SMF Gathering?

Well, I have been Jonesing to meet all the members of our big, happy family - from coast to coast. With gas at OMG/gallon, it is hard to do that. Anyone interested in a "regional" gathering? I am in Delaware, near Wilmington. Anyone in the NJ, PA, DE, MD, VA, or anyone anywhere else along the eastern corridor that wants to attend?

What do y'all think? Dates? Locations? Dumb idea?

Just puttin' feelers out to see if there is any interest. This could be alot of fun!

I dunno, haven't heard anything recently, I assume it is still a go... but this is something I was thinking about for maybe next year sometime (I guess I didn't mention that...). I got interrupted while posting this, I wasn't trying to nudge anything existing out, that's fer shur...

I was looking for that thread I thought it got canceled or something. I may have an old friedd along. Got an email from an old shipmate (found me on a post from Classmates.com I did about 10 years back). Haven't seen her since back in 74 Subase Pearl Harbor! She wants to come find me end of October - mind if she comes along? I know she doesn't smoke meat or anything but last time I saw her in 75 she was a riot!
