Tonight's German-themed meal....

Schnitzel, simple salad and Tater-Tots....

I know, I know not authentic but tasty!

Whether weinerschnitzel or schweinerschnitzel, it looks good to me.

Probably would have done potato pancakes as a side, but the tots work for me.

Great plate from here . I'd never beat someone up for eating what they like , or keeping it simple .
Love me some tots too .
Just bought a new range with an air fryer setting in the oven . Has a sheet tray size basket .
Did tots 2 nights ago . They come out like deep fried . No mess .

Looks great here. Confused with the spoon in the ketchup tho...

If you want an easy weekday german hack, store bought gnocci works FANTASTIC as a dumpling/spaetzle sub. Cheap too.

Schnitzel is one of the few German foods I like. I'm glad you didn't go authentic, you would have had to figure a way to get raisins on the plate somewhere! Don't like fruit in my dinner...

Thanks everyone!

Next up are Bratwurst and Weisswurst.

Never made it to the German butcher shop, but grabbed the Weisswurst at Wegmans, and the Dietz and Watson Brats at the commissary....

Dietz and Watson Bratwurst, sauerkraut, Kociusko Mustard, and some bread.

If you haven't tried Dietz and Watson, you should give it a dry....

Taste and texture so much closer to authentic German bratwurst than other commercially available bratwurst, in my opinion.
