Stay save Keith I'd bet Charles has flooding in the area as well Brian had 4' of water over a road between his house and the main highway. His power is still out he's on generator but the flooding has gone down enough he can got to town and got more fuel for the generator. Around the area there were some trees down and some power out but that was mostly east of us a ways. I didn't find so much as a limb down on our place

Wind hasn't been too bad, but yes, lots of rain and flooding with the forecast saying another 12"-15" tonight and tomorrow. Debby is heading offshore, but will make a U-turn and come back. Haven't lost power...yet. This has basically been a rain event...

This has basically been a rain event.

For us as well... Coast Guard did make all the ships leave ports (where I work) and go out to anchor in the Gulf ... Thinking the wind was going to be worse... But it wasn't anymore than a regular thunderstorm... Just longer...

So we're getting a little break from the rain today as Debby has moved offshore, it's only drizzling here now. But she's just refilling her buckets and recharging her batteries for her return trip when she circles back around. Rain, rain, and more rain coming in the next couple of days. Well at least the wind isn't blowing too much...

Got power back on today. Thankfully out house and all is good. Lots of flooding around us but we have the high ground thankfully.

Hope all of yall in the path of this moisture bomb are safe.

Good deal Brian. It's still raining here, but supposed to stop tonight sometime. Thankfully, we never lost power, but it hasn't stopped raining for over 3 days...

I think Debbie has been sending out her scouts up here. Poured rain all night long, and she's not supposed to hit till tonight into Saturday. Stay safe and dry guys.

We have had rain on and off for the last 3 days, some of it very heavy. All the doors in the house have swelled a bit and are either not closing or sticking. This is with the central AC on all the time as well.

After over 3 days of continuous rain, she finally has left us and the sun is trying to peek out. She's headed up the east coast where she'll meet up with a front coming down from Canada and maybe another from the mid-west. Could get very wet in the next couple of days. Stay safe and dry...

May get worse before it gets any better, Cliff. Hopefully won't be too bad, but stay safe and keep as dry as you can...

We still have flooding for the rivers and creeks. 400 acre ponds with dams busting. 70 roads closed in our country and some are paved where they were washed away.
My rain gage broke but neighbors said 22". We finally had sun yesterday and today!
Stay safe guys!

That's not good Cliff

Darn Canadians. They're always trying to influence their southern neighbors. Actually that front may help us out and keep the major part of the storm south of my area.

...and keep those doors open. I wouldn't want to see you get stuck inside.

Sounds like the North East up here. Those poor folks have been hit with flash floods at least four times in the past two years.
My daughter has a rain gauge on her back deck. We watched it fill up pretty quick one night.

Get your umbrella ready Chris, she just dumped 3-4 inches in my area, it's starting to move away now.

Will do Jim. We had steady rains throughout the night and it's still going, but we haven't had the big stuff they've been predicting. That's supposed to start tonight. Strong winds and heavy downpours.

The rain has stopped here, but the wind is really nasty. One of our spruces lost a good size branch and the neighbors trash can just went flying down the street. Could be an interesting night. Our Maples are holding their own, but it does look like a scene from the Wizard of Oz. Only a single power glitch so far.

Chris

Make that two power glitches

Chris

Clear and sunny this morning. Our neighborhood didn't loose power unless you want to count a few blips here and there. Down the road a tree fell and took out their power lines. The worst was a house a few towns north of me. A big old tree fell and took out their roof and one side of their house. I think I read there where about 30,000 w/o power. Mostly from the 65 mph gusts taking out trees. There's also quite of few roads closed for the same reason. I haven't heard of any flooding which is good. Considering what some folks have been through already. I hope all others fared as well. Let us know.

yeah that wind yesterday clogged the crap out of our pool with the leaves. A tree took the power out around the corner from us. We were lucky not to be on the same service loop.
