Been busy the past few days like most of you have been getting ready and preparing and cooking and eating. Now that I have a few moments just wanted to reflect for a moment.

I have a lot to be thankful for, not least of which is all the people here at SMF.

Thanks to all of you for contributing and colelctively making this a great place to be. I raise my cold frosty pumpkin spice ale to you guys!

Thanks to Jeff for the effort and initative to create this place.

Many thanks to my fellow mods for welcoming me and teaching me. And yes Dutch, I am having fun!

Last but not least thanks to Debi for being my smoking mentor and for teaching me the ways of the thin blue smoke.

I hope everyone has a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Your most welcome Ron I have enjoyed the pleasure of your company here and you have been a fine example of SMF member and moderator!

Your dinner looks soooo pretty! How'd the turkey issue turn out?

I spoke to the people over at the USDA. Had to throw the other birds out. Oh well. At least the new ones were on sale.

Dang you didn't return them and give them a whatsfor? Some poor family that couldn't afford another turkey probably ate it and will get sick. Those stores are getting bad!

Happy Thanksgiving to all on SMF. I am doing my best to bring new members to this forum off our Florida Sportsman Fishing Forum. Many members over there enjoy the smoking of meats and the post I make. Thought this place would be the next step for them.
I am thankful for the rain we received today. Alittle over an Inch fell today while I was smoking our dinner. My smoking area is covered, but about 250 feet from house, so umbrella was the attachment of the day as this rain started at 5 AM and went to 2 PM. A real nice soaker. I happily put up with it. thank you Lord
