This came out exactly how I was hoping. Creamy texture with a nutty flavor. We grated some on pasta last night, it was delicious, but it tastes so good on its own I may just use it on boards. Just a shade under five pounds.
Thank you!Heavens, that looks good!
Thanks!Nice!
I'm immediately planning my next wheel. I'm thinking every nine months.Oh WOW!! That looks ridiculous! That is on my list!!!
Got a link for that cheese cutter board???
Thanks!Wow! Nice.
Thank you. It's obviously drier than the interior, but it's still completely edible. It aged unsealed for the first 9 months or so, then spent the last three months vac-sealed. I think if I hadn't sealed it, the rind would have been harder, but I'm happy with how it came out.Great work as always .
Does that have a hard rind on it ?
Thanks!Dayum
That looks great.
Thank you, it is.Awesome, I have no doubt that was delicious.
I'm sure it's exactly as you intended . I just asked because I save the rind from parm and simmer it in pasta sauce . Just thinking how good that would be from yours .. It's obviously drier than the interior, but it's still completely edible.
The wife does this all the time! She also does it for soups as well.I'm sure it's exactly as you intended . I just asked because I save the rind from parm and simmer it in pasta sauce . Just thinking how good that would be from yours .
It spent the first 9 months unsealed. When it started getting some blue on the outside that wasn't brushing off very well, I sealed it for the last 3 months.Looks amazing as usual!
Parmesan is on my, "would love to, but probably will never try it" list.
Did you vac seal it?
Thanks!very nice.....
Yeah, that's what I usually do with rock-hard rind. This one (probably from the 3 months vac seal) is completely edible.I'm sure it's exactly as you intended . I just asked because I save the rind from parm and simmer it in pasta sauce . Just thinking how good that would be from yours .
Thank you!Looks fantastic, excellent work!
Thanks Loyd! What mold did you use? Did you post up a thread at the start of this parmesan on SMF? What cheese mold basket did you use?
Thanks!Wow! Very nice looking cheese!
Appreciated. As always just a work of art!
