Do you ever listen to music while cooking? It seems to be a rather uncommon practice, but I have found that listening to music while cooking really makes the experience calmer and more pleasant (I prefer country music). Recently I've been listening to One Flew South's debut album, The Last of the Good Guys while cooking and it has truly made cooking more pleasant. I would definitely recommend checking them out if you haven't already heard of them.

Let me know what you think.

Willy - this is a good thread and I'm anxious to see what others respond with. Personally, I don't listen to tunes while smoking meat 'cause I'm usually browsing SMF

. I'm also a talk radio type person and am listening either to a sports show or a broadcast from Real Radio 104.1 FM in Orlando, FL

i love to listen to music and BBQ, and here's a fun tune to listen to, it's called
"peace love and BBQ" sung by Marcia Ball, i hope you all can find it , and enjoy it.

And I let my tongue do the music. :{)-

Mr Eclectic here: Tragically Hip, James Mcmurtry, Amy Winehouse, SRV, Blues, Jazz, Country, Rock, Darryl Lee Rush, AC/DC, Bodeans, Dean Martin, Gin Blossoms, Pearl Jam, Steve Earle, Crash Test Dummies, Matchbox Twenty. Wired throughout: 5 pairs in the house, 2 pairs outside on each patio, a pair in the garage & the "boys room"......The ipod is my jukebox, currently over 7,000 songs on it. Someone once said "Set it & forget it"...

platters...smoke gets in your eyes ,,harbor lights..then there is OZZY...

I usually do.... I have sirius sat. radio in the busted luck hangout(shed).... just put AC in so its kool too.... i usually listen to classic rewind, prime country, sometimes roadhouse country...

OMG!!!
These guys rock, is their album out now?
Oh I love them...watch out rascal flats! My problem would be I would wake up the dead listening to "My kind of beautiful" that needs to be loud!!!

I have a set of outdoor speakers close to the smoker. Tend to listen to classic rock, but have grown quite fond of Kid Rock recently (latest album anyway) (he is about half country, and half rock). A little SRV and Hendricks. Definitely not "low and slow" when it comes to music around my house.

I'm with you Jeff. Classic Rock does it for me. From Elvis to Led Zeplin. Wireless speakers on the patio. 36 hrs of commercial free rock.

Keep on rock'n in the free world!
