we're always looking for new fresh ideas but i'll share 1 of my favourites... anthony bourdain(no reservations) on the travel channel- does anyone else like that show? really some old/new/ innovative/traditional stuff on there from all over the world. any ideas for what to watch for new ideas other than rachel ray, emeril,or alton ? i do watch andrew zimmer too.

Gypsy my friend, there is Giada, and then there is???????? Ok, well, Sandra Lee is "rather" pleasant to look at.

But, she is too, la dee da, for me. Back to your question, is he the guy who eats worms, grubs, etc? Pass, give me the dead cow and dead pig.

amen mossy.......getting tho abit more chunky.....but rachel is still HOT

and i have to give alton and thumbs up.........learned alot from him...........from french fries to jerky

zimmer is the weird foods dude- anthonyB. is the cocky new york italian guy but he's a master chef too... lol- he goes all over the world & tries anything & drinks enough just to try everything. i love rachael...cute to look @ but the only 30 min meal i do is a taquito......

License to Grill gives you a candian named Rob Rainford. He does low and slow quite a bit, but on two big Napoleon grills (indirect heat). He also does fast grilling and it kind of fun to watch. His meals are real backyard friendly and you don't have to be a master chef to do it. In addition to that, I watch a little of Bobby Flay's Boy meets Grill.

i've seen those- bobby flay was just around here.i really like the travel channel- not just good cooks, but different culture recipes & ideas.i watch top chef on occassion but sometimes simpler is better...i mean, ya can only do so much to a burger before it's overkill. lol i also love justin wilson.. known him fer years as a comedian when my grandparents had his albums...but he was always a durn good cook too & his old shows are great.

Anthony Bourdain is the guy in no reservations. Im watching right now and it is a real good show. Zimmer is similar, but could probably eat 30 more hotdogs than Chestnut. As for Rachel Ray, i'll do everyone a favor and not even get started. One of my favorites is Barbeque U with Stephen Raichland. Lots of awesome recipes and truly a skilled Qer in my opinion. I'm a culinary arts student right now here in Boca Raton florida, so im always looking for new ideas on Food Network. Its a good network

(ok im sorry but if Rachel Ray makes one more D*** hamburger im going to be real upset. She should be taken off the air. I knew i was gunna do this)

I skip the 10 o'clock news to watch Good Eats instead. I'll read the news later!

Rachel doesn't do it for me. I don't care for her show or her in general. But I am sure she is a nice person.

Now Giada? Smokin'!!!!!

I like No reservations too. Another good one is Diners, Drive-ins & Dives. They had an episode the other night that was all about good barbecue joints. Another one I like to watch is Feasting on Asphalt.
I like the TV shows that travel around the U.S and show you where all the good hole in the wall joints are.

I'm with ya' there AJ. Good Eats is one of the most informative food shows I can think of. Half of my Tivo hard drive is full of them!

Honestly, any of the shows that Alton Brown hosts are good. The guy is a walking culinary encyclopedia.
