Finally got the call from Ben to come get my Lang model 60. Took off work and went to Nahunta. Of course I get there and see all the great looking grills and start wishing I had gone with the 84. Finally I asked Ben the odds of upgrading. It took a bit of checking to make sure he had one finished that hadn't been sold.

To make a long story short I came away very happy with a new Mobile 84. Aside from obviously being larger what made me want to move up were two items. 1) doors and work surface on both sides and 2) the second shelf actually slides out instead of having a shelf with legs sitting on the primary cooking surface. Anyway here are pics. Hope to season it tomorrow.

W O W.... That's nice... Dare I ask how much that set you back? Don't think I can afford sumthin like that now but gives me a target to shoot for.
That is nice. You are making me jealous, you are living my dream !!!

We need to see pics of it in action and the products you get from it.
It was a little expensive, but I figure while I can get it now. I'll never have to buy another smoker or grill. After taxes it was $2,990.95.

I'll be experimenting with amounts of wood needed to maintain the temps I want over the next couple of weeks. I'll do a few meals on it at the same time, but I'm really gearing up for its first competition in Sept.
Nice executive decision on the upgrade! You'd of been kicking your self in the pork butt every smoke if you didnt do it ......... Nice rig, treat it well.
Sweet indeed!!!!!. I remember standing in that lot picking up our 60 and thinking the same Congrat's and enjoy, your gonna love it!!
Merry Christmas indeed! That thing is just awesome! I've been lusting after the model 60, butt now, I may have to rethink that...
