Lisa did a great job on getting stuff sent to Iraq, but here is something you can also do for just the cost of a card and stamp. Send a Christmas Card to

A Recovering American Soldier
c/o Walter Reed Army Medical Center
6900 Georgia Ave, NW
Washington, D.C. 20307-5001

I think I may have posted this before but now that Christmas is upon us I wanted to put it out again

Will do Blackhawk, and I'm passing this address along to everyone I know.
Thank you for the post.

Got this in my e-mail today; thought I would pass this along:

Something cool that Xerox is doing

If you go to this web site,
www.letssaythanks.com, you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! This is a great site.

Please send a card. It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Not to burst anyones bubble, but the post officer WON'T deliver mail addressed like it is above. You can view it on snopes. My father (who just got back from Iraq) told me that due to the high number of soldiers receiving hate mail, the USPS won't deliver that kind of mail to them anymore.

Thanks for the info 316, I guess the 10 I sent are in the garbage. It,s a sad statement about this country that it's come to the point you can't even Thank a Soldier. God Help Us
