Cherry smoked buckboard bacon

Hello Everyone

Today i smoked a 10 pound buckboard bacon i used the hi mtn cure and it turned out great i used cherry for the smoke here are the pics

Very nice. Are you fond of cherry or just testing it. I have not used it on bacon. Might try that

I like Cherry and Apple on my buckboard they are both good but i use what ever i have on hand plum is great to smoke with

Looks good. I just started 4 lbs of BB and 1 lb of loin tonught using Hi Mountain.

I use whatever hardwoods I get hold of. Since my smoke generator uses sawdust it depends on whatever I've been cutting lately. Mixed hardwood generally ( with a lot of oak ) is very good. But I have some cherry and I like that too. Don't get much hickory but I really like the oak. Sometimes I go to a sawmill and get some from them. As long as they are not cutting some of the tropical woods. I stay away from them. Anything from North America is good.
