Hi, I have a Char-grill with side box, and when I used the side box to smoke foods, the smoke come out from all over the grill. All the side have smoke coming out. Should I be concerned about this? Also, I can hardly ever get it above 225 deg. Any help would be so appreciated.

I purchased a welding blanket to place over my grill when smoking in colder weather (I'm in Minnesota).   The welding blanket keeps the smoke and heat in the smoker.  Just make sure that you don't cover the air inlet on the side box.
