Anyone shopped at Cash & Carry before? I had never heard of it until this morning when another member posted about them. I see there is a few here in Western WA and was just curious if you had been in there before?
That's true, and the price is pretty good on them. However, Bear Mountain pellets are alder based, with different flavor woods added. So if you want pure flavorwood, you might want to shop around. I do buy my alder pellets there, of course. They also stock the Bear Mountain brand wood pellets.
I agree, they are Alder based. But unless you know of a vendor closer than Black DoiamondThat's true, and the price is pretty good on them. I buy all my pellets (save for alder) from Todd at A-MAZE-N Products. Look around the edges of the page here to find his link & check out his prices.I agree, they are Alder based. But unless you know of a vendor closer than Black Doiamond
Cash and carry saves me a 2 hour round trip.
I was looking at the one below (?) it, the Pro 260. Is it a fairly decent unit? We bought a elcheapo one vac. sealer a while back...and suck it did...but not in a good kind of way...
inkjunkie,
Yes, Cash and Carry, No membership fee.
If You are in the market for a vacuum sealer. Take a look at the Vac Master Pro 350,
At Vacuum sealers unlimited. com . They are on sale at a good price plus free shipping.
Get your self a Christmas present.
Morning Sir...when I was in the Cash & Carry the other day, taking pictures of the meat bins...my memory is just about shot....one of there employees started talking to me. His father in law is a smoker, said we might want to try out there tri tip roast...said every time his father in law smokes one it is delicious...ink, morning.... When I lived in Bellingham, I bought meat from their store there.... Their primal cuts were a good deal.... I liked the "clod" "chuck"... front shoulder cut.... there are some "premium" cuts on the front shoulder and some very tasty meat.... a lot of it is a little on the tough side but..... that plays right in to the low and slow smoking methods....

We need to pick up some spices for the Boss to make a rub and a few other things, will be going there for sure. Only chunk I have ever seen at the local Wally World/HD is Royal Oak at right around $.75 a pound. Just picked up a 40 pound bag of Mesquite from Cash & Carry for under $15.00...
Love Cash & Carry! My go to place for pork ribs (whole spares or St Louis cut), butts, loins and briskets. Also get bulk spices for rubs (although I got some commercial rubs for Hanukkah/Christmas and that I am excited to try) and charcoal at reasonable prices, but on charcoal usually Home Depot or WalMart has better specials, so keep an eye out for them. We have Several Cash & Carry's within Vancouver or striking distance in North Portland, if you're a convert for So Cal it was called Smart & Final down there.
