Will have to read that one when I have time. He got me crying one time talking about his wife puking after telling her what she ate. Beef tongue or something LOL

I like the idea for an area to post info, Eternal Flame or in memoriam. Call me nuts but swear it's 100x harder to find these member's stuff. Seems like there is something deactivated when the "gone but not forgotten" tag is added and search results suffer. Search has active member default maybe?

I had a comedy class for an English credit in high school . One thing I took away from it is people find things funny because they have had that experience . Lol .
I laughed hard over it just now because I've had similar issues more than once lol. That move he describes on the toilet approach is classic

Well , you are nutz , but I agree in this case . Some of this could be because they didn't allow access to their personal info , but I noticed that Bearcarver is gone from the postings / likes list .
He may have asked to be removed , but a search for his threads by topic and his screen name reach an " oops " .

I did a search for poor man's prime rib and put bearcarver in as the member. Came right up.

I lurked this forum for over 3 years before I ever joined. I actually purchased Jeff's rub and sauce recipe. Was looking to improve my smoking, grilling, & fire cooking skills. Of all the forums I lurked this is the only one I joined and I was drawn to the willingness of so many members to help others, many who are no longer here. I'm more of a taker than a giver around here but I do appreciate those who help others and the many that have helped me past and present. Best way to honor those who have gone is to keep passing on the knowledge and keep firing up those cookers!

I need to fire up an outdoor cooker soon! It's been over 2 weeks 😁

Thanks for posting this.

I had this bookmarked for years and just noticed it isn't anymore. You just saved me a search!

I just did a search too , and it came right up . It has not been like that in the past several tries .
Try finding anything of chef jimmy j's. Yes, I am nuts BUT there is DEFINITELY something going on with the search. I think it has to do with the shortcut or whatever it's called (@ name). I think it gets deactivated.

The @ is only used when you make a post you want that particular member to see. Don't use it in the search box. Just start typing the member's name and a drop down with partial matches will show their user name .

Doesn't work for me when I type chef (space) Jimmy. No hit. If I just type chef there are about 10 none of which are his. Same if I type bear, no bear carver

Just type what you are looking for with the known username and it works.

Search for pork roll with bearcarver as the member name.

Works for me if I type the user name out in the user field. It just doesn't pop up either of their names. As someone said it's like they were deactivated.
Something like that, but if you know the member name and type it in the box, results on the topic will show up.

Just did a search ,
Prime rib
bearcarver

And it hit . It has not done that in the past . I find a lot of post for people on here , so I'm sure I'm searching the terms correctly .
Pop's
Bear
Jimmy J
Are all hard to find .

Not using the @ when searching just the name but no drop down. Just realized Chef JJ did not use a space between the J's. My bad. That's part if it. Seems like dropdown should still work. In fact, I would think it be actually easier to find for members like that since post count high/long membership/mods/etc. Just trying to help out and find stuff. Oh man there is some SERIOUS good info in those threads.
