Did my first packer last night to send some thin blue smoke to Debi and Shelley at their competition this weekend. Started out at 2AM and the brisket came off at 330 this afternoon. Hickory and Pecan wood and rubbed with Jeff;s rub and then mopped with a mix of Jack Daniel's and Coke. Awesome bark and incredibly beefy flavor. Now I see why everyone love brisket so much.
