I have seen that a few of you have the Bradley 6-rack digital. I'm contemplating getting this since I don't have 1500 to shell out on a CookShack but have a few questions...

What do you like/dislike about it?

Want to do any mods to it thus far?

Notice any hot spots such as with the MES?

Does this still have innacurate temp readouts?

Recovery ability since its only a 500W element?

overall thoughts and opinions.

Thanks in advance!!

I will let you know later as I am just now starting (Maiden Voyage of) the one I bought in August.

By tomorrow I will tell you if it is a keeper or posted on Craig's List. LOL

My 4 rack tends to run hotter on the bottom, and to the back. I ussually rotate racks up and down, and turn them around 1/2 way through, and this will give me even cooking.

I recently put a pizza stone in my oven, and I'm wondering if doing something on the bottom rack would be worth it? Or maybe some stones on the drip tray or something. Has anybody tried that?

EDIT: I love my 4 rack BTW, for with and cold smoking. I also do fatties etc in them, but it tends to run 20 degrees or more cooler than the thermometer. might just be mine, and the small cheese fire I once had in it from a leaking fattie...
