40 days and 40 nights this is a recipe of biblical proportions.  Wow I would love to try but no way I could sacrifice an oven for that long.

I was thinking toaster oven .Every place has them on sale for x mas.

You could probably make a simple Biltong box and heat with an incandescent light bulb, adjusting the heat by means of different watt light bulbs..
