I just got back from the butcher and picked up some more beef back ribs ... these are the ribs you get from the boneless rib eye steaks. Over the years I have learned that the best place to get the meat you want is from a butcher not a supermarket. I got these at WholeFoods and the butchers know me very well there. <on a first name basis now> :) I made these before but this time got a whole rack, The meat is all natural and was 1.99 per lb. and they are meaty.. Hope you all have a great smoke day and a safe holiday.

Here they are all rubbed.
I'm also making chili today and perhaps a 1/2 smoked chicken

I sure am <wish you were here> if these come out as good as the last ones I'll be happy. Rodger, Did you make the baked beans and if so.. how did they come out?

Have a GREAT one!!

Hey Joe, my wife wound up making the baked beans. :P They were really good and I appreciated her making them, but I did plan on making yours. I will try them on my next smoke. Hopefully, it will be a little less strenuous. Oldest son's birthday is always within a day or so of Labor Day (Sep 05, 1980), the youngest son's is always within a day or so of Thanksgiving (Nov 26 1987). Birthday's and holiday's combined can be very stressful
Best to avoid the stress it a killer .. we have 2 girls and 1 boy .. the baby being 21 <girl> a son who is 23 and another girl who is 25 .. all moved out and on thier own ... the baby is going to northern ireland on the plane now .. she is relocating to Pittsburgh .. So I guess I'll only have to lift the seat 1/2 as much now . lol .. have a great one .. and Happy B'day to your son ...

Joe, the food looks great, and as always, your pictures are worth a million words. Looks and sounds like it was a good weekend for you. Thanks for sharing...
Thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s a fine lookinâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji] spread there Joe…you done yourself proud!
I love corn like that! Itâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s so much better, like adding another layer, yâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]now?
When are we getting Smellavision? :)

p.s. About the nail polish…you gotta get over that
JMack, Was just myself and the wife .. The weekend was quiet and relaxing . If it was busy here it would be hard to get the food to stand still for the pic. laugh

Carl, too funny .. I was a little confused about the "nail polish" remark until a looked at the whole pic .. lol .. The wifes foot got in the way .. now she'll want a pic of her other foot .. smellavisin would work well ... the corn was great .. we have nice sweet corn here now .. but not for much longer ..

Meowey, You may have to go to a butcher .... When the cut the boneless ribeye steaks ask them if you order the ribs from that cut of beef ..

Joe, those are the best looking beef ribs I've laid eyes on my friend. :D

I'll be goin to the butcher real soon!! 8) Thanks.
Joe, you're killing me again!! Great spread and as always-great pic's.

It's great that you have a butcher that can/will provide you with what you want/need.

Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]m glad that Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ve been able to keep my knife skills and butcher skills up and have a wholesaler that will sell be the primal cuts that I want (as long as I buy by the case :D). Iâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]ll have to do me up some beef ribs one of these days!!
Hey Brother Dutch, Being a finish carpenter/cabinet maker some would call me a butcher <kidding> I can get most beef and pork products .. but .. if I want a pork belly I have hunt them down .. not very common up here .. I would recomend doing beef ribs atleast once .. do them the same way as you pork ribs .. but foil them for 2 1/2 to 3 hours .. or to your liking .. so try it .. you'll like it ....
