Baby backs, deviled eggs and some corn cob. ribs were smoked with pecan. I would like to reiterate fire management on an offset. First load with a few sticks to get temps up. Don't rush to get food on. You don't want to smoke food with the fire hitting the top of the firebox. It will give you a bitter black smoke. Once you get a good bed of coals you add 1 small split to maintain a small fire with the dry wood. These ribs were a little overcooked bud they were damned good. Lightly sauced with favorite BBQ sauce.

Thanks for looking
Boykjo

Nice work, I really like the cutting board pic, I would just take that as my own plate and be real happy!

Looks great. Love the old Braunfels RF. You don't see those around much anymore. I have an old Braunfels but its not RF. I love that thing!

Is that a beer pole or a log splitter? If that's a rustic beer pole then Chris and Justin have got some competition. gmc2003 gmc2003 yankee2bbq yankee2bbq
Thanks for the replies everyone. Just got back from a 2 week bender, I mean vacation.....lol
It would make a nice beer pole but for the safety of others I would have to designate it as a log splitter. Having intoxicated guests Including myself around a device that would literally do some really serious damage or even kill you if you fell on it. When not in use I lay it down. I could put a ring guard on it but when you get a knotty piece of wood it would be hard to remove it if it gets stuck.
Chris and Justin are off the hook for now.

And here I thought you added an automatic beer can opener to the beer pole.
