I've just moved to a five acre property covered with all sorts of trees. Don't know what any of them are, I guess I'll have to get out a tree book or something to work them out.

So can anyone tell me what tree's that grow in australia (in the brisbane area particularly) are good for smoking with?

I read in another thread that eucalyptus is a no-no... a shame I have a lot of it... Is it poisonous or just bad tasting?

There's gotta be some oaks around there right? Look around for trees with nuts. Pecan, walnut, etc?

Anything with needles I'm pretty sure is a really bad idea. No cedars, cypress, pine etc.
