Folks, I am not usually a fan of ready made, store bought BBQ sauces, but here's somethin' I found interesting: made by, "Two Bored Neighbors", called, "Maine Wild Blueberry BBQ Sauce." My son-in-law brought this back from Maine for me... I haven't given it the actual test yet, but it sure has a good flavor out of the bottle!

Keep ya' posted...

Keep us posted Hawg. I found a recipe for a blueberry BBQ sauce on line and was contemplating it. Feedback on that store bought'n stuff could put that recipe higher on the experiment list.

Okay, I tried it on the GRILL tonite... I grilled up some thick pork loin chops, rubbed with my rub and sat for 4 hours or so in the fridge. Slapped them on the grill, got them almost done, then slathered the chops with this magical Maine sauce for the finish. Let me tell ya' folks, a VERY nice BBQ sauce! A nice mixture of blueberry/garlic/onion and a hint of smoke... very pleasing to the taste buds.

Well, all I can tell ya' is, even if you aren't into ready-made sauce... this ain't bad!

Got this off the Maine's Pantry website:

Wild Maine blueberries, honey, vegetables & spices. This sauce is naturally sweet, spicy and bold. Use for grilling or baking. Great on chicken, pork and beef. Pour over cream cheese for a cracker spread. You'll never be bored!

Thanks for the critique. We appreciate how you sacrificed your palate for the betterment of us all.
Now I will definitely try that recipe I found.

No problem!! Care to share that recipe...?
