Anybody Seen This?

Now that is too cool. That thing would work great on the Uds and a brickman for sure. Goes to show you that good old mother of invention hard at work.
 
Pretty neat idea and would be easy to make also...
 
I was just checking out this guys site, pretty cool idea. I've always thought the best benefit of cooking on a rotisserie is the fact that because the meat is constantly being rotated it is self basting itself all the while. Since the ribolater isn't actually rotating the meat in the same way do you lose something in the process, like moistness? Anyone here have one of these?

I don't real see much of a benifit to the ribulator as it isn't a rotesery, the only real benifit I see is if you have a hot spot they will all be exposed to the same temps so they will all cook the same.

StirCrazy, by the looks of that smoker, he would only be able to do 1 or 2 racks of ribs at a time. With that he's doin 4.


That would work great in my 55gal offset. But then I can put 4 rack ribs now. To benefit me I would have to make it a 5 or a 6er.

My thoughts exactly. I think where it would benefit would be from meat not sitting over hot spots as it will hit every heat section as it spins.
 
Hey there northern greenhorn-check the the GOSM mods down in the Propane forum. Someone modded theirs so that it has the ribolater and a glass window. Looks way awesome.

If I can find the thread, I'll post up a link for you.

Okay, found it. Here is the link for the GOSM w/ribolater. This mod was done by NWDave.
 
Would I be going out on a limb, by predicting about a dozen guys on this forum making their own versions in the next month or two???
